“ I lucked out and happened to be passing through when they were open. Be sure to call before coming over, they have tricky hours. I walked a mile to the place from a nearby RV camp (the last 1/4 mile was sketchy, with no shoulder and very speedy drivers). Arrived to see a well populated but spacious parking area; locals apparently flock to the place, always a good sign. I was seated quickly, and the folks there were super friendly and fun to talk to. After asking what they recommended I ordered a combo of fried catfish filets and fried fresh (vs popcorn) shrimp, with a side of cheese grits and coleslaw. Came with a couple hush puppies too. All were delicious, and very filling. Iced tea (1/2 and 1/2 sweet and plain) was great, and they gave me a cup to go when I left. Great experience all around! ”
